Sri Lanka's first double degree: graduate in four years with both a business and an IT bachelor's

Sri Lankan students can now earn two bachelor's degrees in a single four-year programme — a national first. Southern Cross University of Australia and NSBM Green University have launched a double degree combining a Bachelor of Business with a Bachelor of Information Technology, delivered locally at NSBM and opening for enrolment ahead of its 2027 start. The launch, signed during NSBM's 10th anniversary celebrations and attended by Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne and Australian High Commissioner Matthew Duckworth, is designed to produce graduates fluent in both the boardroom and the server room — without the cost of studying abroad.
