The last 135 megawatts switch on: a 600 MW solar project stands complete at Khavda

A solar project built in stages since June 2025 is now complete. Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) has switched on the final 135-megawatt phase of its 600 MW solar project at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat, bringing the whole plant into commercial operation, the company said in a regulatory disclosure. The build came in five stages — three phases of 105 MW each during 2025, a 150 MW fourth phase in November 2025, and now the last 135 MW — each stage feeding power into the grid as it finished. Alongside the Khavda plant, GIPCL also runs 112.4 MW of wind power across Gujarat's Saurashtra and Kutch regions.
