Vietnam breaks ground on a 220-hectare industrial park built to bring jobs home

In Nam Cửa Việt Commune, Quảng Trị Province, shovels went into the ground this week for the Capella Quảng Trị Industrial Park: more than 220 hectares of serviced industrial land, backed by investment of over VND 1,152 billion (about $44 million), designed to draw employers to a province that has historically watched workers leave for jobs elsewhere. Provincial industrial parks matter in the most practical way possible — they decide whether a young person can build a career near their family, or has to migrate for one.

The upbeat factorinvestment measured not in hectares, but in how many people get to stay home and prosper.
