673 days later, Tank Dell ran back onto an NFL field
The last time Tank Dell played in an NFL game, it was December 2024. A severe knee injury and a fractured fibula put the Houston Texans receiver into nearly two years of rehabilitation — 673 days of it. On Sunday he finally took the field again, against the New York Giants, joking beforehand that he planned to spike the ball emphatically after his very first catch. Comebacks like this are built in empty gyms and physio rooms, far from any crowd; on Sunday, the crowd finally got to see the end of that long, quiet work.
The upbeat factorTwo years of rehab nobody watched, repaid in one run onto the field.
