After years away with a rare illness, Céline Dion's Paris comeback just set residency records: $125.5 million in 16 shows
She promised the crowd she would come back — and then she kept the promise at a scale nobody expected. Céline Dion, 58, whose career was interrupted first by the pandemic and then by stiff-person syndrome, a rare disorder that stiffens muscles and causes painful spasms, earned $125.5 million across 16 Paris concerts this autumn, selling 539,000 tickets. Her average audience of about 33,700 a night nearly doubles the previous per-show residency record. 'I made a promise to come back and to be back on stage,' she told the sold-out arena. 'So here I am, singing for you, singing for me, singing life.' She returns for ten more Paris shows in May 2027.
The upbeat factora voice the world thought illness might have silenced, back at full power — and breaking records by simply returning.
