At 104, Enid still sings — and her Bronx care programme just welcomed its 1,000th participant

Enid McGibbon is 104, lives at home in the Bronx, and still sings and exercises along with her videos. She is the oldest participant in ArchCare Senior Life, a programme that helps older adults keep living at home with medical care and support wrapped around them — and it has just welcomed its 1,000th participant. The Bronx Borough President's office marked the milestone with a proclamation. 'It represents 1,000 individuals whose lives have been touched by compassionate care, 1,000 stories, and 1,000 families who have received support,' said Millicent Matos at the celebration. One of those stories is a brother-and-sister pair who still enjoy days at home together, with help that lets them stay there.

The upbeat factora thousand neighbours helped to stay home — and a 104-year-old still singing there.
