Four strangers on a car roof, a helicopter overhead: an Arizona creek rescue ends well

When Wet Beaver Creek in Yavapai County, Arizona, rose nearly four feet in repeated thunderstorms on Thursday, floodwater swept a white SUV downstream and left its four occupants stranded on the roof. Sheriff's deputies found the vehicle about 150 feet downstream, pinpointed its GPS coordinates and guided in an Arizona Department of Public Safety Ranger helicopter, which lifted all four people to safety, one by one, above the rushing water.
