He built a bicycle nearly three metres tall — and Guinness World Records came to Kebbi to honour it
In Kebbi State, Nigeria, a young cyclist named Bello did something gloriously impractical: he fabricated a bicycle 2.9 metres tall — roughly the height of a one-storey building's ceiling — and rode it. This week Guinness World Records formally honoured the feat, with the certificate presented to the Kebbi State Government in Birnin Kebbi, where officials praised his determination and ingenuity and marked it with a donation of ₦1 million (about $650). It will not shorten anyone's commute. It was never supposed to. Some records exist purely to prove that a person, some steel and an unreasonable idea can, in fact, stay upright.
