More sunshine on the grid: 66.68 MW of new solar power switches on in Rajasthan

On the edge of the Thar Desert, where the sun is the one resource in endless supply, a solar park just grew. ACME Solar Holdings has switched on an additional 66.68 megawatts of solar capacity at its hybrid project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, through its subsidiary ACME Renewtech — lifting the project's working capacity to 200.04 MW and the company's total operating capacity to about 3,190 MW. The power is sold to NTPC, India's largest power utility, under a long-term agreement, and wind capacity planned for the same site will complement the panels, generating when the sun is down. ACME expects to bring the project's full 300 MW solar component online by the end of Q3 FY27, within a contracted portfolio of 8,370 MW spanning solar, wind and battery storage.
