Up to $60,000 to open the doors: VinFast bets on local dealers to spread electric motorbikes

Electric motorbikes are Southeast Asia's everyday transport revolution — quieter streets, cleaner air, cheaper running. Vietnamese maker VinFast is now paying to speed it up: dealer partners who open new electric-motorcycle showrooms in the Philippines and Indonesia by 31 December 2026 can receive up to $60,000 per location, combining basic support of up to $40,000 with bonuses for early openings and for partners who open three or more stores. The company already counts 63 electric-motorcycle dealerships across the two countries and is targeting hundreds of stores by the end of 2026. 'Not only new business opportunities,' said overseas markets director Vo Thi Cam Tu, 'but more consumers switching to greener transportation.'
